David DeCastro

David William DeCastro (born January 11, 1990) is an American former professional football player who was a guard for nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal, earning unanimous All-American honors. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft, and he was considered one of the best guard prospects available. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection with the Steelers.

Businessland Cuts

LEAD: Businessland Inc., a leading computer retailer, is expected to announce substantial layoffs at a news conference Thursday and may close some of its less active stores, people close to the industry said. The move by Businessland, based in San Jose, Calif., comes as personal computer sales have softened nationwide, but also stems from the chain's loss of the Compaq Computer Corporation account in April, said Seymour Merrin, a computer retail consultant.

LEAD: Ansett World Aviation Services of Australia has ordered $110 million worth of jet engines from Pratt & Whitney to power as many as 12 Airbus aircraft, Pratt & Whitney said. Ansett ordered PW4000 engines for six A300-600R Airbus twinjets, a total of 14 engines including spares, and took options on 12 more engines to power another six planes, said Pratt & Whitney, a unit of the United Technologies Corporation.
