INTERNATIONAL 3-16 Putin and Bush Discuss Nuclear Threats President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia met with President Bush to discuss Iraq, the Mideast, and the nuclear threats of Iran and North Korea. Mr. Putin said Russia would encourage Iran to comply with inspections but would proceed with plans to help Tehran build a nuclear reactor. 1 Three projectiles hit a hotel in the main compound for Americans in Baghdad but caused little damage and no injuries.
