Television audiences rose for the second night of the Republican National Convention, with the first lady, Melania Trump, attracting more viewers than Monday’s keynote speaker, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. About 19.4 million people watched live on Tuesday from 10 to 11:15 p.m., compared to roughly 17 million on Monday night.
The G.O.P.’s official stance in 2020 is that it is for whatever Trump says.
